This 847 acre master planned community is designed around a Village Center with a small town main street, K-8 school, 20 acre park, fire station, and new Copper Basin YMCA. A marketplace and community church is planned future additions to the Village. Amenities
One of the most important factors for families to consider in a community is education. The Florence Unified School District has built a K-8 school located immediately adjacent to the YMCA. This provides the opportunity to integrate and share facilities in order to create a community school that integrates quickly and in cooperation with the growth of the community.
The YMCA is another anchor of this community. The YMCA offers reliable day care and after school child care, organized sports, a variety of other activities and opportunities for continuing education and enrichment. Residents will enjoy the outdoor swimming pool facilities, as well as the fitness center. The program and the partnership with the YMCA is the foundation for the social support system that makes Copper Basin a sought after community.
A 20+ acre community park is located immediately adjacent to the YMCA and the elementary school. This will allow the school to use the fields for their daily physical education activities, as well as for their sports programs. The YMCA will use those same fields for its sports programs. The community park includes a large play structure, huge grass area for picnics, public barbeque grills, basketball courts and a soccer field.
LifePOINT Church is a non-denominational Christian church currently being led by Pastor David Hinman, a Copper Basin resident. A focus on healthy families, fellowship and personal maturity through a growing relationship with Christ! Services are currently being held at the Copper Basin School at 9:00 am and 10:45 am.
Future Amenities
With a scheduled opening in 2008, the distinctive Copper Basin Marketplace will soon serve the community of Copper Basin, as well as the multitude of regional visitors. The Marketplace will offer retail, office and restaurant space for lease.
LifePOINT has acquired land across from the Elementary School in The Village of Copper Basin, and will eventually build a campus there. Ministries provided by the church are prayer, children’s programs, discipleship classes, small community groups, and local events.
Rural Metro Fire Department has begun construction of a new firehouse in The Village of Copper Basin. A new fire department will be located across the street from the YMCA and Copper Basin K-8 elementary school.
